„Observarea de sine”
A weekend workshop with Red Hawk, Chandrika Taylor & Regina Sara Ryan
Knowing others is wisdom;
Knowing the self is enlightenment.
—Lao Tsu
“Know thyself” is the most ancient teaching for awakening—almost every religious and philosophical system recommends it. This practice of learning to “know thyself” is called self observation . . . or self-awareness . . . or self-remembering. Without this self-knowledge as the basis of our lives, we are driven by our habits and respond mechanically to the directions and opinions of others. It is no wonder that life often feels superficial, pointless and deeply unsatisfactory, and that our relationships with others break down so easily.
Yet, as we practice and awaken to our knowledge of self, we will also begin to experience true compassion and forgiveness for ourselves and others. And compassion is the foundation on which we can build love.
This weekend workshop is for those who wish to seriously take on the practice of self-observation, leading to compassion, forgiveness, real conscience, and love. Sessions will be led by RedHawk, author of the book Self-Observation, The Awakening of Conscience, his wife Chandrika Taylor, and Regina Sara Ryan, author of The Woman Awake and Praying Dangerously.
The program will be based in RedHawk’s book, Self-Observation and consider the fundamental principles, including:
With the added experience and skills offered by Regina and Chandrika, the whole weekend encounter will be characterized by a context of kindness, generosity and forgiveness.
